Meghan currently produces for CBS Mornings, where she is a reliable, go-to news-of-day producer. She regularly produces correspondent packages on breaking news, such as the rise of the Omicron variant or natural disasters.
Meghan is well-experienced in producing live interviews, having produced 100+ for CBS Mornings. Those have included White House officials, such as Vice President Kamala Harris and Press Secretary Jen Psaki, as well as Dr. Anthony Fauci. Live-guests also extend to different realms, notably including actor Mahershala Ali, Chance the Rapper, and author Brene Brown. She also works on feature pieces.
Prior to joining CBS Mornings (previously known as CBS This Morning), Meghan earned her Master’s in Politics and Communication at the London School of Economics. While in London, she worked as a freelancer at the CBS News bureau in London. There, she was an assignment editor, researcher, and production assistant. Some of her duties included booking travel for correspondents and producers, writing daily outlooks, and helping manage the logistics behind getting an international news piece to air.
Before moving to London she worked as a Digital Associate for CBSN, the digital streaming service of CBS News. As a segment producer, she wrote scripts, decided video and graphics to accompany a story, and worked first hand with the anchors and reporters. She focused most of her producing on international news, local U.S. politics and foreign policy.
In May of 2017, she graduated from Syracuse University with B.S. in Broadcast and Digital Journalism. At Syracuse, she focused her education around her two minors, Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies. She also studied Arabic and is semi-conversational.
Beyond her on air and behind-the-scenes journalistic work, Meghan loves to bake, play with her dog Cosmo, and run. She is also an avid reader, aiming to read 30 books in 2022. You can find her on Twitter at @MQMistry.
