For Nate’s debut piece as co-host of CBS Mornings, Meghan helped brainstorm athletes for the mental health roundtable, write interview questions, prepared research packets, assisted with scripting, helped make cuts in edit, sourced VO, wrote the package intro and ordered the corresponding elements. Meghan was also on-site to help field-produce the shoot.

Registered Dietician & Tik Tok Star Sam Previte on Intuitive Eating | Jan. 14, 2022
Meghan pitched this segment as an alternative conversation around eating habits in the New Year. Traditionally, those conversations focus on dieting or starting new work out routines– but Meghan sought to shift the conversation to one of sustainability. She found registered dietician Sam Previte and pitched a conversation with her. She pre-interviewed Sam and wrote the intro and questions for the segment.

Meghan produced the NATSOT package from :33 to 1:53 of the video below. She coordinated with parents to shoot a video interview with their child, scripted the piece, found the music behind it, and worked with an editor to cut it.
Nate Burleson Explores The Science of Fear | Oct. 29, 2021
Meghan found the experts in the piece, pre-interviewed them, prepared questions for the interview. She was on-site for both interviews and was the sole field-producer for the shoot with Professor Debbie Felton. She helped script the piece and played a minor role in edit.
Robert Durst Obit | Jan. 11, 2022
This is an example of a typical package Meghan turns as a news-of-day producer. She scripted this piece, found all of the b-roll to cover it, dug through 48 Hours archives to find previous reporting on Durst and coordinated with Erin Moriarty for a live Q&A to follow the package. Everything seen here was produced by Meghan, start to finish.

This is another example of a typical package turned in one day by Meghan. She scripted this package and worked with Nancy and her field producer to coordinate on interviews. She found all b-roll to cover the piece. She began work with an editor on it, which was finished overnight.
New Covid Cases Have Nearly Doubled Since November | Dec. 20, 2021
In another news-of-day report on the Coronavirus, Meghan produced a fast-moving roundup on the spread of the Omicron variant. In an example of her savvy producing, she coordinated with graphics for a unique sidebar to for viewers to follow along with the script’s reporting (visible at 2:11).
